An article authored by David J. Kappos (former director of the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office) titled “Seeking Balance: Promising Developments in U.S. Patent Litigation Reform” was published in the July 2015 edition of the A.I.P.P.I Journal. Taro Isshiki worked with Mr. Kappos in publishing the Japanese version of the article.

Taro Isshiki authored a series of articles summarizing the steps that the U.S. government and courts have taken over the past 10 years in part to deal with the “patent troll” issue and how they have significantly weakened the U.S. patent rights in the process. His 8-part series appeared in the Business Law Journal (December 2014 – July 2015), a leading legal publication in Japan.
