Isshiki & Partners specializes in cross-border matters involving Japanese law, U.S. law, etc., and requiring extensive negotiations with English-speaking parties.
The two founders were born in Japan and have lived in the United States for many years. Each has worked for American law firms in Japan for more than a decade, focusing on cross-border matters. With a deep understanding of both the Japanese and U.S. legal systems and their cultural landscapes, they founded Isshiki & Partners in 2021 with a desire to contribute to the further development of people working on the global stage.<\/p>\n

The firm handles a wide range of dispute resolution matters, primarily litigation and arbitration, in Japan and abroad. In litigation in Japan, for example, our strength lies in handling international disputes where not only Japanese law but also foreign law and procedure are at issue. We also provide representation in international arbitration and U.S. litigation.<\/p>\n

In addition, we provide a wide range of intellectual property services by working closely with Isshiki Patent & Trademark Firm, which has approximately 40 patent attorneys and technical staff. With experts from Japan and the U.S., we work closely together to provide strong support for our clients’ intellectual property, including patent and trademark application preparation and prosecution, IP due diligence, IP contracts, and dispute resolution. We also handle corporate legal and compliance matters.<\/p>\n

Our mission is to contribute to the development of our clients by leveraging our strength in cross-border matters. We look forward to working with you.<\/p><\/div>\n
